Internship Summary

Our Organizational Development Intern works directly with the Director of Marketplace Ministries. The Marketplace Ministries Team supports missionaries on the field who start a business or work in a professional position to engage the unreached. Our intern will assist in researching, developing and organizing the infrastructure needed to equip missionaries on the field to be more effective in their work or business.

If you love developing support systems on the back end of programs, then this role may be the one for you.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the recruitment and preparation process for Pioneers missionary candidates who want to start a business or search for a job overseas.
  • Collaborate with other Pioneers teams and missionaries to evaluate the process listed above and ideate new ways to improve it.
  • Organize internal resources so Marketplace Ministries can share and communicate information more effectively to missionaries on the field.
  • Assist in building a knowledge architecture for internal resources that Marketplace Ministries and missionaries can use on future platforms.
  • Complete administrative tasks assigned by the Director of Marketplace Ministries.

Minimum Qualifications

  • You Have a Personal Relationship with Christ: Spiritual maturity and desire to deepen your relationship with God.
  • You’re Excited to Serve with Pioneers: Willing to reflect Pioneers Statement of Faith and Core Values.
  • You Love Work and Business: Good business acumen. Having either started your own small/hobby business or held a management position is a plus!
  • You Dig into the Details: Strong research and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • You’re an Inquisitor at Heart: Naturally curious and knows how to ask the right questions when gathering information.
  • You’re a Gifted Writer: Able to communicate well through writing.
  • You Love People: Genuinely enjoys building new relationships and connecting with others.
  • You’re a Go Getter: Ability to work as a team but also manage projects and work independently with confidence.
  • You Love to Learn: Teachable and wanting to grow professionally and personally.
  • You Have a Strong Sense of Professionalism: Handles confidential information well.
