On Friday, March 28, a powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck in Myanmar, killing thousands, causing immense destruction in that region and impacting parts of Thailand and China. Many families have lost their homes, loved ones and possessions in the devastation.
The disaster has amplified an already dire humanitarian situation. Prior to the earthquake, nearly 20 million people in Myanmar needed assistance.
