Emergency Aid: Middle East Crisis

We are watching developments across the Middle East with mixed feelings, heavy hearts and prayers for peace. The attacks that killed Iran’s Ayatollah Khameini claimed many other lives. The long-term impacts remain uncertain, even in parts of the region that have long been peaceful and stable. Yet we rest in the assurance that our sovereign Lord is in control.

During times like these, we have seen God open unexpected doors for His people to serve. In response to needs from field workers and donors, Pioneers has created a crisis response fund to offer practical assistance, relief and comfort when disasters occur. You can help:

• Support national partners as they strengthen the local church and meet physical and emotional needs in the name of Jesus.
• Launch outreach campaigns that address the fears and questions people are asking during this crisis—especially Iranians seeking hope.
• Cover unexpected travel costs after the regional lockdown forced Pioneers leaders to change flights and extend hotel stays following the leadership summit.

Although long-term needs are uncertain, we are seeking to raise $35,000 to $65,000 to cover immediate costs, trusting God to provide what is needed in the months ahead.
