What’s Your Story?

God is writing a story about your unique role in missions and the global church. We want to invest in your professional, personal and spiritual development so you can be equipped for the next exciting chapter of your story!

These volunteer-based positions will give upcoming professionals the opportunity to develop professional skills, authentic relationships, a deeper understanding of missions and a greater vision of their unique roles in the global church. As an intern, you will see the inner workings of Pioneers which, for the past 40 years, has been using innovative and creative means to bring the gospel to every corner of the globe. At the same time, you’ll be working alongside Pioneers staff who are dedicated not only to pursuing the unreached, but also to your professional and personal development. This internship also can count towards college credit if you are a student and your school approves it.

We are looking for interns who:

  • Are positive, passionate and hardworking.
  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills and a strong commitment to Christ.
  • Can commit to working a minimum of 15-20 hours a week for a full semester.
  • Have reliable transportation to our Orlando office (located in Lake Nona) and a phone and laptop they can use to work.
  • Enjoy being part of a fun and energetic team that is determined to give every people group the opportunity to hear the gospel!

*As of now, this internship will be in-person at our office. However, we are considering remote options (if needed) due to the coronavirus.

Start Date: May 24, 2021

End Date: July 30, 2021

*Applications received by March 1 will have 1st priority. After this deadline, the application will be opened until all positions are filled.

Organizational Development Intern

Our Organizational Development Interns work directly with the Director of PROpel on the International Initiatives Team. PROpel creates short-term opportunities (virtual and on the field) for Christians to use their professional skills to serve the global church and the common good. In short, PROpel connects global needs with professional skills.

Grant Writing Intern

Our Grant Writing Intern works directly with the Global Project Coordinator on the Advancement Team. This intern has the best of both worlds where half of it is writing and the other half is building relationships and interacting with foundations, donors and missionaries on the field. If you love writing and connecting with people, then this is the role for you!  

Donor Relations Intern

Our Donor Relations Intern works directly with the Vice President on the Advancement Team. This intern is on the frontlines of ministry, serving individual donors who give to Pioneers and strengthening the relationship they have with us. If you love encouraging people and finding ways to show appreciation, then this role would be perfect for you!  

Recruitment Intern

Our Recruitment Interns work directly with the Global Project Coordinator on the Advancement Team. Recruitment Interns are on the frontlines of this expanding internship. You will build upon the foundation of this program by marketing the internship, screening applications and conducting phone interviews—essentially recruiting the next round of interns! If you love creating teams and want to play a part in building this internship, then this role is perfect for you!
