Speaking on Behalf of Those Silently Seeking Jesus

Someone is silently seeking Jesus right now

They may never meet a Christian. They may never feel safe enough to ask their questions aloud, so they search in silence. Many are searching online because asking questions publicly could cost them their family, their community, their freedom—or even their lives.

When God opens your eyes

“How could we have followed Christ for so many years and never heard this?”

For David and Krista, learning about unreached people groups changed the way they saw God’s mission.

They discovered that billions of people still have little or no opportunity to hear about Jesus—and began praying how God might use them in this season of life.

Millions are silently seeking Jesus. Many American Christians don’t know.

“God our Savior… desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” —1 Timothy 2:4

God’s heart has always been for all peoples to know Him. Today, more than 3.4 billion people live among unreached people groups with little or no access to the Gospel. Many have never met a Christian, never had the opportunity to read the Bible or never heard the message of Jesus in a way they can understand.

For many, openly exploring Jesus could cost them relationships, community, employment, freedom—or even their lives. So they search in silence. Increasingly, that search begins online.

Through the ministry of Pioneers Media, people searching for Jesus are connected with trained disciple-makers who answer questions, share Scripture and walk alongside them as they explore faith in Christ.

In 2025 alone, more than 440,000 seekers connected online with a disciple-maker through this ministry.

She couldn’t ask out loud

Growing up in a Druze community in the Middle East, where following Jesus was unthinkable, Jenan learned to fear God rather than love Him. As a child, she caught a glimpse of Jesus through a film, but she had no one to answer her questions or help her understand who He was.

Years later, those questions remained. Unable to explore her interest openly, she began searching for Jesus in secret. Through the ministry of Pioneers Media, she connected with a trained disciple-maker who patiently answered her questions and began studying the Bible with her.

Today, Jenan and her two daughters are growing in their faith together. Despite opposition at home, they continue studying God’s Word and praying that one day her husband will also come to know Jesus.

Jenan cannot safely tell her story to most American Christians.

Silent Advocates help tell it for her.

The Awareness Gap

Many American Christians have never heard this reality—or the stories of people like Jenan, whom God is drawing to Himself through the ministry of Pioneers Media.

How could I have lived all my Christian life and never heard this?
— Krista

It’s a question we often hear from Christians. Most believers love Jesus and care deeply about His mission. The issue isn’t a lack of compassion.

Many have simply never been introduced to this need—or to the remarkable ways God is drawing people to Himself among unreached people groups today.

As more Christians become aware, more begin praying, giving, serving and asking how He may be inviting them to participate in His global mission.

Why the Silent Advocate ministry exists

The Silent Advocate Ministry exists to bridge the Awareness Gap. A Silent Advocate speaks on behalf of those who are silently seeking Jesus. Rather than serving overseas, Silent Advocates serve from where God has already placed them.

Using the relationships, experience and opportunities God has entrusted to them, they share what Scripture reveals about God’s heart for the unreached, communicate the realities and challenges facing unreached people groups and introduce fellow believers to what God is accomplishing through the ministry of Pioneers Media.

Whether over coffee with a friend, in a Bible study, with a missions committee or in a church gathering, they invite others to prayerfully consider how God may be inviting them to become part of the solution. Training, practical resources, presentation materials and ongoing encouragement are provided.

Could this be your next season of ministry?

Perhaps you’ve faithfully followed Christ for many years. You’ve served in your church. You’ve supported missions. You’ve sought to use your life for God’s Kingdom. And perhaps now you’re praying, “Lord, what would You have me do?”

Not everyone is called to go overseas. But God continues to call His people into many different roles in His mission. Perhaps He has given you the time, experience, relationships and opportunities to help bridge the Awareness Gap by speaking on behalf of those who are silently seeking Jesus. Perhaps this is a season to invest your life in helping more believers discover God’s heart for the unreached.

Perhaps, like David and Krista, your desire is to finish well.

This isn’t simply an invitation to volunteer. It’s an invitation to prayerfully discern whether God is calling you into a ministry of advocacy—helping the Church discover what He is doing through Pioneers Media among those who are silently seeking Jesus.
